HISTORY OF TLC LEARNING ACADEMY
TLC Learning Academy began its journey of serving the children of the Piedmont more than 40 years ago. We started out small but mighty! We had a vision to be a safe haven for local children, a place they could go to receive a quality education, personal care, all while providing parents the comfort of knowing their little ones are in the hands of amazing and caring staff.
We first opened our doors in 1985. Located in the family room of our family home, we began our dream of providing high quality care. Five children from our local neighborhood served as charter students. As time progressed and our desire grew to care for more children, we expanded and were able to accept additional children and hire additional staff members.
Since opening our first stand-alone facility at 2832 South Main Street, we have served thousands of children. Our facility, which much resembles that of a family home, serves infants to twelve year olds.
